The Macintosh was launched with the famous 1984 Super Bowl ad, which coincided with Orwell's dystopian novel 1984.
The 1984 ad never showed a Macintosh, but sent the message that the Macintosh computer was going to change computing
and set the Macintosh apart from all other computers. The Macintosh was going to change the way we thought about computers,
being only for business users in suits. Apple was creating new markets and uses for the computer and it stood above
the competition for many years, making the Macintosh truly the computer for the rest of us and I was among them.
